Independence from Busy-Ness

Independence from Busy-Ness

A good practice, as we’re heading into Independence weekend, is to become independent of busy-ness.

Being busy is a good thing when we are busy pursuing our dreams, but we often get busy with menial tasks.  If we let our lives get filled up with the unimportant –with the many phone calls or emails, for example –we don’t have room for what is truly important to us.

Today would be a great day, as we’re heading into Independence weekend, to become independent of this busy-ness and take a pause.  Ask yourself, “In my life, deep down inside of me, what really matters?  What are the two or three priorities, that if nothing else gets accomplished, I want to be sure get in the core of my life?”
